My child keeps pressing MORE. Does she understand it?
Maybe. But the better question is whether MORE is connected to a meaningful concept for your child.
MORE can mean continuation, increase, repetition, or quantity. A child may press the button because it creates a response, because adults model it often, or because the device pattern is familiar. That does not automatically mean the child understands all the meanings behind the word.
What to try
Build repeated experiences with more swing, more music, more snack, more blocks, and more bubbles. Pause, wait, model language, and watch whether the child anticipates continuation and uses communication intentionally across routines.
